My Book is Free Online

If any readers of the Destin Log's recent articles on my father, Capt. Ben Marler, would like to download a free copy of this book, please go to http://www.box.net/ImpressiveHome
You will need Adobe Reader, but you may freely download this program at www.adobe.com
Libaries are encouraged to download a free archival copy. Many of the 130 historial and family photos were taken by myself or my family and I will give written permission to use them if you will contact me at www.heiressarts.com
The County libary system has a printed copy. Several local elementary schools are using this book as a fifth grade level "A. R. Reading" book, and at last count, 140 children had checked it out for school credit at my "alma mater" (1966-1972) Destin Elementary School. I regret that I don't have any more printed copies to donate, but I will be producing the book on CDs and hope that eventually Amazon will have printed copies for purchase. God bless you for reading this book, and please share it with your own children. - Athena//

2009 Economy Makes RV Living Attractive to Some

Bayview RV Campground in Destin, Florida (www.bayviewdestin.com)is offering monthly RV rental sites for $500-600 per month, all hookups included (power, city water & sewer, and cable with 24 channels). Larger rigs 40-42 ft. in length are slightly more at $635 per month. Corporate rates are available based upon duration of stay.
Spokesperson Athena Creamer says that fall is the time she sees campers arrive for the annual month-long October Fishing Rodeo, and her location adjacent to the Destin city boat launch on Joe's Bayou is a natural draw. Bayview offers boat trailering for $7 per day or $100 per month, but boat trailering is free with an RV site.
The location and small size (10 sites) makes Bayview unique in Destin. Creamer says that she embraces HarborWalk Village as an attractive feature because of the wide array of events and activities held there, and it's close proximity to the campground. Original Destin she roughly defines as the area from the Destin bridge to one mile east of the bridge, is where she grew up. It's a microcosm of a now larger community and its many churches, shops, post office, movies, banks, restaurants, boats, businesses and beaches fulfill practically every need of the RVing resident and lover of Destin, Florida.
